of powerful and easy to use features.
NearSite is an Offline Browser
As you browse NearSite stores the information you're viewing ready for you to
use again, very much like the way a VCR stores your television viewing.
NearSite's intelligent cache takes over from your browser's cache, allowing you
to revisit browsed pages anytime you wish - offline.
NearSite is an Automatic Browser
NearSite Channels can be set to automatically retrieve Web pages from the
Internet and keep them refreshed as often as you wish. NearSite follows and
grabs linked pages and files. You can choose how often NearSite checks and
updates the links, whether it be once a day or once a month.
NearSite is a Channel Manager
Using NearSite's intelligent Channels, you'll soon have your own chunk of the
Web on your desktop, ready for use anytime. NearSite makes it easy to maintain
and prune your information and share it between different browser software and
other people.
NearSite is a Web Archiver
You can use NearSite's Archive facility to save Web pages (even complete Web
sites) to disk for viewing allowing you to keep a permanent record of important
information. Store sites on floppy disk, CD or DAT for distribution to others.
NearSite is a Network Gateway to the Web
NearSite allows you to give Web access to many network users with just one
Internet connection. Configure just one workstation with a connection to the
Internet to run NearSite and allows users to browse both NearSite's offline
information and the Web itself.
